Nicholas (Nick) and Navneet met on August 14, 2023 due to their mutual shared passion for music. Nick plays piano, guitar and drums and Navneet is a singer. Upon getting to know one another better, they both realized that they shared similar values despite coming from two different cultural backgrounds and parts of the United States. Nick was born and raised in New York and Navneet was born and raised in California. After living in New York for his entire life, Nick made the serendipitous move to Davis, California in 2021 to work as a postdoctoral scholar in Physics at UC Davis. Navneet has lived in Sacramento, CA on and off since she was three years old. She is currently working as a Psychologist in Sacramento, CA. Nick and Navneet share similar perspectives about humanity, and enjoy learning and nerding out on different topics. Over the last year their love and admiration for each other has grown stronger.

Nick surprised Navneet with a proposal on July 4, 2024 at the location of their first date. Nick, being the sweet and thoughtful man he is, arranged it so that Navneet’s sister and good friends as well as his best friend were in attendance to celebrate with them. Nick and Navneet look forward to sharing their wedding day with you and welcoming this new part of their lives together.
